A Chronological Overview of all the illustrations I made in Isometric Perspective
I started making illustrations in isometric perspective in 2013 and never quit.
Some of them ended up in the permanent collection, but others are buried in the dusty stacks of the Willem Pirquin Museum.
This page of the museum gives an overview of all of them. No exceptions.
I hope this gives you, dear visitor, some deep and valuable insights in my work process and the evolution of my work over time.

De Transformisten – Op Wielekes

Bicycles! A lot of bicycles. Check the details on the project-page.
Villa Lactea

Villa Lactea is an old farm that got a makeover as a holiday cottage for groups. The whole renovation was done as ecological as possible. You can read all stories on their website (in dutch, sorry!). I did a big set of illustrations to get you interested. In fact they deserve a separate page on my website as well, but the museum-staff is busy with other renovations at the moment.
Labland – sustainable neighborhoods

A new neighbourhood for the LabLand Universe. I still have to add these additions to the project page.

Labland – Style update

After five years of making new tiles and expansions, we refreshed the look a bit: By making the existing houses white instead of blue, the green LabLand interventions catch a lot more attention. We both don’t know why we waited so long to do this.
We also ditched the hexagons and combined all tiles in one lively neighbourhood.
Avansa Kempen – Engaging Citizens
What started as a question for “a simple infographic” ended up being a set of illustrations to illustrate their publication. Check the whole collection on the project page.

Universiteit Antwerpen – Wat is uw punt?

A combination of isometric and flat illustrations. Something I would like to explore further for future projects.

VRT: Boerderij Huppeldepup

An illustration for the VRT tv programme “Andermans Zaken” about a Boerderij Huppeldepup. This project had a very tight deadline: I finished the entire illustration in less than 2 weeks.
LabLand – 2 new project tiles

Two new tiles for the LabLand collection.

Real 5 – Fair Estate

Real 5 is a recoloured version of the illustrations I make for LabLand. Check it out on the Real 5 project page.
VRT Edubox – Update

The VRT updated their branding, so I updated the colours and fonts of the illustration I made for them in 2020.
FelixArt – Sitemap

Another sidestep. I made this map for The FeliX Art & Ecomuseum in 3D, so it could be rendered from different angles for different purposes. In the end, we went for a perspective view instead of the isometric look. but I still use a lot of the 3D techniques I learned for this project. So I include it in this overview anyway.
LabLand – CoWork

LabLand – New Tile: Living Lightly

Another tile for the LabLand collection.
Just look at these new trees!
New trees for LabLand

GraphicsGrove updated the Labland website and made sure all illustrations where loaded as SVG’s. We discovered that the trees I drew are quite big, and since I reuse them in all illustrations it was a quick win to redraw them to reduce their filesize. It took few itterations to get them how we wanted but we settled on the last one. Of course I swapped all trees in the existing tyles.
Kind en Samenleving – Loslopend Kind
You can follow the routes of the kids through the illustrations. Why didn’t I think of this before?! Check all the details on the project page of loslopend kind.

Vervoersregio Groningen Drenthe – Mobipunt Reishub Edition and Expansion.

Remember the Mobipunt Illustrations from 2017? The Dutch transport region Grongingen Drenthe was working on a similar concept. So in consultation with Mobipunt, I rebranded the illustrations to match the branding of their illustrations. We even expanded the set with new modules specific to this region.

Kantoor Kolos – Jint – Jeugdwerk in Europees perspectief
Kantoor Kolos designed a publication for Jint about
“Youth work in a European Perspective”.
I made some illustrations and of course I could not resist playing with the perspective.

MiWa – Search Image

A bit different, but still isometric. Until now, it’s the only one I did in this angle. But I think it’s an interesting variation and I feel feel there will be another occasion where I can use this again.
Provincie West-Vlaanderen – Seaweed farming in the North Sea.

A smaller illustration, but a huge step for me: It was the first time I made these isometric illustrations completely vector-based.

Vredeseilanden (Rikolto) – Illustration Collection
Vredeseilanden wanted to update their look from a greenish hand drawn look, to a more colourful approach. So I made this set of illustrations for their powerpoints and publications.

Netwerk Bewust Verbruiken – Wij:Delen
My very first isometric illustration!

I can’t remember a particular reason for choosing this perspective. But I do remember it took me a lot of time, sketches, workarounds and teeth grinding to get this done and even at the time I could see a lot of flaws and mistakes. But I knew I was onto something…
